The Interior Department‘s National Park Service wants information about companies that can recommend methods for the agency to collect, analyze and manage data for park visitor use and transportation management planning efforts.
NPS seeks ideas from industry on how to gather data via location-based services, global positioning system, context and wireless signaling, DOI said Monday in a FedBizOpps notice.
The agency also looks to process information at multiple landscape scales from other land management agencies that include the Agriculture Department‘s Forest Service; Defense Department; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; Bureau of Indian Affairs and Tribal Governments; Army Corps of Engineers; and Bureau of Reclamation.
Due date for responses was moved from Aug. 27 to Sept. 11.
