Michael Rogers, former director of the National Security Agency and commander of U.S. Cyber Command, has joined CyberCube‘s board of directors.
The company said Friday the appointment is Rogers’ first stint in the private sector since he retired from the military after 37 years of service.
San Francisco-based CyberCube spun out of Symantec five months ago and offers cyber risk analytics services to the insurance industry.
Rogers, a three-time Wash100 awardee, said analytics technology can help enterprise customers examine and address security threats in cyberspace.
CyberCube offers a software platform designed to help insurers underwrite cyber insurance risks and create security incident models.
