Former CSRA CEO Larry Prior, a four-time Wash100 winner, has said the federal government’s spending plans and demand for novel technology platforms will likely drive more mergers and acquisitions among contracting firms, the Washington Business Journal reported Friday.
Prior, who was recently named to the board of analytics firm Novetta, said at a breakfast event Friday there has been a “summer lull†in M&A activity but he thinks there will be “another wave of consolidation.â€
He offered his views on the potential expansion of Leidos in terms of scale under CEO Roger Krone and Randy Phillips, who joined the Reston, Va.-based information technology services contractor early this month as senior vice president for corporate development.
Prior was also named in June as an operating executive consultant for aerospace, defense and government services team at private equity firm The Carlyle Group.
