Engility has awarded cybersecurity scholarships to four military veterans under the CyberWarrior program’s summer 2018 installment.
Veterans Jonathan Cervantes, Clint Lovell, Maria Mena and Davide Giovanni Zampieri will receive career development opportunities, training, educational materials and certifications provided under the scholarships, the company said Tuesday.
A ceremony took place Tuesday at the TechNet Augusta conference to honor the scholarship recipients.
“We are honored to welcome a new generation of cybersecurity professionals who will help our nation meet the challenges of the future,” said Lynn Dugle, chairman, president and CEO at Engility.
The program is open to all discharged U.S. military veterans, as well as to reserve forces and National Guard members.
Engility and the Center for Cyber Safety and Education award scholarships twice a year to help veterans secure cybersecurity jobs.
