The Education Department looks to procure information technology services to build a federal student aid processing and servicing platform through a contract vehicle managed by the National Institutes of Health‘s Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center.
A FedBizzOpps notice posted Monday says the department will seek an enterprise-wide digital and customer care technology for its NextGen Financial Services Environment through NITAAC’s Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 3 contract.
The department aims to simplify the delivery of services and information to customers as well as maintain borrower protections, according to the notice.
The proposed system would require separation of system processing, customer account servicing and database housing functions in order to facilitate deployment and modernization of current technologies.
