David Mahoney, an executive vice president of Dewberry, has been named manager for the alternative project delivery operating unit at the Fairfax, Va.-based professional services firm.
Dewberry said Friday Mahoney will oversee the company’s vertical, horizontal and water/wastewater design-build services for public sector facilities as well as bridge, highway and transit projects nationwide.
The more than three-decade company veteran has led more than $6 billion in highway and rail projects such as the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Silver Line Phase II, the Dulles Greenway in Northern Virginia and the Intercounty Connector in Maryland.
Mahoney is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America, the American Public Works Association, the Dulles Area Transportation Association and the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.
