Booz Allen Hamilton has won a potential five-year, $47.4 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to develop technology platforms to support the military service’s operational cyber resiliency initiatives.
The Defense Department said Monday the company will help USAF build a system to address cyber assurance requirements and associated mission programs of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s information directorate.
The project also seeks to repurpose technologies and software systems for the service branch, intelligence community and other U.S. government clients, as well as deliver prototype systems for current operational users and new cyber weapon system customers.
AFRL received two offers for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract through an electronic solicitation and obligated $1.3 million in fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
Work will take place in McLean, Va., and Rome, N.Y., through Aug. 5, 2023.
