Jennifer Chronis, general manager for the Defense Department market at Amazon Web Services, told Government Matters in an interview aired Friday she believes DoD organizations can harness the possible advantages of machine learning and artificial intelligence tools in a cloud computing environment.
She said that AWS’ technology is designed to manage workload at different classification levels.
“Cloud helps our warfighters solve problems faster, adopt to changing environments, deal with sudden demand and adhere to the highest security standards,” Chronis added.
AWS has partnered with GovLoop, a social networking site for government workers, to produce the “Supporting Today’s Warfighter with Machine Learning & the Cloud” report.
The report offers information on how military personnel can use the technology in efforts to obtain situational awareness and make decisions.
