Air Force Issues RFI on Enterprise Service Desk, End User Devices - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Air Force has posted a request for information on enterprise service desk and end user devices as the service branch aims to increase mission effectiveness with the use of commercial technology platforms.

USAF said Aug. 2 in a FedBizOpps notice it will explore organizational, business and technical process tools that can support the service branch’s planned transition to an ESD and EUD as-a-service delivery model.

The branch looks to consolidate disparate expenditures and information technology projects into a unified enterprise that allows for user customization based on service needs.

A series of experiments under USAF’s Enterprise Information Technology as-a-Service program is scheduled to commence in October and aims to evaluate commercial service offerings and service delivery models.

Responses to the RFI are due Aug. 15.
