AECOM has secured a position on a potential nine-year, $28B indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Defense Department for technology research and development services.
The company said Thursday it will vie for task orders worth over $15M under the unrestricted and open Pool 1 of the Defense Technical Information Center’s Information Analysis Center Multi-Award Contract.
DoD awarded the procurement vehicle to AECOM through its URS Federal Services subsidiary.
John Vollmer, president of management services at AECOM and a three-time Wash100 awardee, said the contract will enable DoD and other federal departments to adopt strategies for countering threats to U.S. national security.
AECOM will compete with 14 other companies for task orders under the DTIC contract.
The IAC covers over 200 technical area tasks and provides defense agencies and officials, industry and academia with research and development services.
