Accenture's Dominic Delmolino: Agencies Eye Machine Learning, AI Tools for Data Analysis - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Dominic Delmolino, chief technology officer of Accenture‘s federal services business, has said some government agencies have started considering machine learning and artificial intelligence as potential tools to help personnel analyze data for missions, GCN reported Sunday.

The report noted local, state and federal agencies have increasingly considered the possible advantages of the new technologies in data analysis and back-office task management efforts.

Delmolino told GCN he believes that machine learning could facilitate interaction between different computing models.

“So I suspect we’re going to see some really fascinating requests for ‘How do I make sure my models work with each other? Is there a way for models to communicate with each other?'” he added.

Zachary Chase Lipton, an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and Machine Learning Department, said that data imported and exported from machine learning systems have to be clearly defined to generate neutral predictions.
