Optum’s federal government health services business has renewed two of its federal health contracts with a total value of $58.7 million to extend its services to 9/11 first responders and the military.
The health services provider said Tuesday OptumServe’s Logistics Health subsidiary will participate in the World Trade Center Health Program for another two years, which involves treating survivors and first responders who served during the 9/11 incident in New York.
LHI will partner the contracts for the WTC Health Program and the WTC Nationwide Provider Network to serve WTC Health Program members across the globe.
LHI will also continue to provide medical consultations and testing services for applicants entering the U.S. armed forces through the Military Entrance Processing Command’s Medical Specialty Consultations Program.
The five-year follow-on medical consultations contract will begin on Sept. 1.
