Lockheed MartinLockheed Develops System to Link Air, Ground & Maritime Intelligence - top government contractors - best government contracting event has created an enterprise system designed to help military customers obtain intelligence from ground, sea, air and space platforms.

DIAMONDShield employs an automated process that will allow users to analyze adversarial intent, use multidomain data in tactical decision-making and assign engagement tasks to theater operations, Lockheed said Tuesday.

The system works to receive information from external sources via tactical data exchange networks such as the Link 16 or Link 11 protocol and correlate terabytes of data to offer military personnel a birds-eye view of battlespace.

Lockheed equipped DIAMONDShield with an aerial mission planning tool and algorithms designed to generate air tasking orders, as well as to help military personnel plan, execute and monitor combat operations.

The company applied its five decades of command-and-control system development experience to transform a prototype version of the technology into an operational platform.
