LexisNexis Risk Solutions presented its free summer coding and computer science mentoring program at a House Education and the Workforce Committee forum that took place Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
Rep. Karen Handel, R-Ga., invited LexisNexis and 24 other participants across the country to present their education programs before committee members and attend a congressional showcase focused on answering questions from Congress members, staff and the public, the company said Tuesday.
The company collaborated with the Technology Association of Georgia Education Collaborative and Higher Ground Education to implement the “Tomorrow’s Technologists Powered by LexisNexis Risk Solutions†program.
Twenty-nine students participated in the four-week camp at the firm’s Atlanta headquarters.
Kara Grady, a LexisNexis vice president, said the program educated the students about computer science fundamentals, big data and five computer-coding languages.
