Unisys has introduced a suite of managed services designed to help organizations speed up the migration of applications, data and other workloads to the Amazon Web Services-built public cloud platform.
Unisys’ CloudForte subscription-based managed services work to provide users access to cloud-native service offerings and contract invoicing capabilities that comply with federal mandates, the company said Wednesday.
CloudForte works to help organizations identify and prioritize the move of legacy information technology systems to the cloud, protect cloud-based applications from cyber attacks and gain access to over 500 AWS-certified professionals through the Unisys Cloud Center of Enablement.
“Federal [chief information officers] are being asked to become the catalysts to enable digital government by breaking free from legacy systems and applications and adopting the cloud as their principal innovation platform,†said Peter O’Donoghue, vice president of application services at Unisys’ federal business.
O’Donoghue added CloudForte will work to help agencies achieve their mission objectives “with the confidence that cloud resources are being consumed securely, cost-effectively and resiliently.â€
Unisys is part of AWS’ network of managed service provider partners recognized by the latter for being “skilled at cloud infrastructure and application migration.â€
