Telos has secured a potential five-year, $45 million delivery order for the update of the telecommunications systems across the U.S. Army‘s theater of operations in the Pacific region.
The company said Tuesday it will provide development, engineering, installation, security, evaluation and training services to support the U.S. Army Pacific’s voice over internet protocol requirement.
“Maintaining reliable communication systems is a vital aspect of all Army operations, especially when operating in the more remote parts of the Pacific theater,” said Ed Williams, Telos’ chief operating officer and executive vice president.
Work will include the implementation of telephone management systems for unified call managers and the replacement of current exchanges for analog voice services.
The delivery order’s one-year base period covers the duplication and migration of command, control, communication, computer and intelligence systems and the deployment of the Unified Capability Voice platforms for the Network Enterprise Center and Battalion Headquarters’ new satellite command facility.
Telos will modify the Network Enterprise Technology Command’s legacy telecommunications platforms to UC Voice systems upon the exercise of the delivery order’s four option years.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command awarded the delivery order through the Network Operations, Network Centric Solutions-2 and Infrastructure Solutions Full and Open contract vehicle.
