Northrop Grumman has opened a new 42,000-square-foot office in Arlington Heights, Ill., which will supplement its existing 46-acre facility in Rolling Meadows, Daily Herald reported Monday.
The expansion will help the company enhance services for customers in the area of national security, Mary Petryszyn, vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman’s land and avionics sector, said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new workspace, located within the Northwest Crossings building.
Northrop officials said the company plans to use 15 percent of the office space for research and development efforts.
The company also plans to recruit up to 270 employees to bring its total workforce from both facilities to 2,500.
