Parsons will continue to manage a construction project at the Los Angeles International Airport under a 30-month, $158 million contract extension.
The company said Monday it will remain the representative of the Los Angeles World Airports for the Landside Access Modernization Program at LAX.
Mike Johnson, president of Parsons Group, said the project is intended to reduce area traffic for the central terminal, link the transportation system of L.A. Metro, provide access for terminals and passenger pick-up and drop-off points and reduce emissions.
LAMP includes a $5 billion design-build-finance-operate-maintain contract for an automated people mover, a consolidated rental car facility, an intermodal transportation hub and related roadway enhancements.
The company anticipates the automated people mover and the consolidated rental car facility to be operational by 2023.
