Northrop Grumman‘s innovation systems sector, formerly called Orbital ATK, will evaluate the basic functions of global positioning system receivers for a medium-range tactical missile platform for the U.S. Navy under a $602,247 delivery order.
The order falls under a basic ordering agreement and calls for the evaluation of Rockwell Collins‘ prototype NavStrike M-code GPS receiver technology, the Navy said in a notice posted Thursday on FedBizOpps.
Orbital ATK, which Northrop acquired and rebranded as its fourth business sector, is the sole producer of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile system, according to the notice.
AARGM is an updated version of the AGM-88 High-Speed, Anti-Radiation Missile and designed to engage mobile targets.
