Grant Thornton’s public sector business and Microsoft have expanded their partnership to help federal agencies generate insights from data and comply with provisions of the administration’s Management Agenda and other regulations that seek to advance transparency and efficiency.
Greg Myers, vice president of Microsoft’s federal business, said in a statement published Thursday the company will combine its portfolio of artificial intelligence, big data and machine learning platforms with Grant Thornton’s capability to drive insights to help federal clients meet their mission requirements.
The two companies will work to help agencies secure and manage information technology systems and adopt the blockchain technology and other emerging platforms in order to facilitate government operations such as auditing, internal controls, performance management and financial reporting.
“Our collaboration with Microsoft will help turn check-box efforts into value-producing insights,†said Carlos Otal, national managing partner at Grant Thornton Public Sector.
