ViON President Jeff Henry has said the company built a cloud platform in a push to support government clients’ information technology modernization efforts.
Henry told MeriTalk in an interview published Friday the Herndon, Va.-based contractor works to procure and install IT systems on site for customer agencies, as well as helps them manage infrastructure capacity via the Cloud Marketplace as-a-service model.
He added the company also offers managed services and enters into service level agreements.
According to Henry, he believes the federal government’s Data Center Optimization Initiative presents an opportunity for agencies to review assets and efficiency strategies.
“DCOI promises massive savings–data centers are the engine room for federal IT and they are the first place to look for modernization savings,” he said in the interview.
