The General Services Administration has asked industry to submit ideas on how GSA can implement a governmentwide system to analyze and manage federal information technology investments.

GSA said Monday it aims to implement a TBM platform across the federal government by 2022 in a push to increase transparency in IT spending efforts.

TBM will work to help agencies manage business, financial and procurement outcomes, use data to make decisions, examine cost-quality-value tradeoffs and establish IT benchmarks with other public and private sector organizations.

“GSA was one of the first federal agencies to implement TBM and is pleased to co-lead this effort to increase data accountability and transparency governmentwide through the [President’s Management Agenda],” said GSA Administrator Emily Murphy, a 2018 Wash100 recipient.

A notice posted Monday on FedBizOpps seeks information on software products and service offerings intended to help large organizations implement standard taxonomies.

GSA noted that services can include data cleansing, mapping, analytics and standardization support.
