Robert Kovarik, a former partner at Ernst & Young and a 28-year veteran of accounting firm Arthur Andersen, has joined Leidos‘ board of directors.
“Bob brings the board over 40 years of experience in risk management and auditing for major corporations,” Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos, said in a statement published Thursday.
Kovarik currently chairs the investment and finance committee of CareFirst‘s board of trustees and previously chaired the audit committee of the Alliance Bankshares Corp.‘s board of directors as well as the George Mason University’s accounting and advisory committee.
He also taught strategic business advising and accounting classes at the Universities of Maryland and Virginia.
The certified public accountant also served as a board member at the American Heart Association’s Greater Washington Region chapter.
