Concurrent Technologies Corp. has partnered with a Phillips Service Industries subsidiary to help customers develop and engineer metallic structures through the use of a three-dimensional printing technology.

CTC said Tuesday it will offer Sciaky‘s Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing  technology in efforts to address a demand for large-scale 3D-printed metal components.

EBAM is designed to process nickel, tantalum and titanium-based alloys used to produce parts that measure up to 19 feet.

Ed Sheehan, CEO and president of CTC, said the partnership aims to help clients realize the advantages of additive manufacturing.

Sciaky developed its EBAM process to support various phases of a product’s life cycle such as prototypying, production, repair and remanufacturing.

CTC offers cold spray, hybrid additive manufacturing and laser powder bed fusion systems.
