Cambridge International Systems has begun offering information technology services to support the Navy and Joint Military Medical Community of Interest by modernizing healthcare for U.S. warfighters and their families.
The Arlington, Va.-based firm said Tuesday it’s helping the Navy and Joint Medicine MEDCOI adopt new technologies such as information exchange and big data, Internet-of-Things capabilities and virtual healthcare.
Cambridge will also leverage its experience with Defense Department customers, as well as offerings such as system engineering, network security and information assurance to help MEDCOI protect medical records, information and equipment, patient lifecycle management and data transfer efforts.
The company will perform the initiative with U.S. Navy Medicine and Defense Health Agency officials.
Joseph Krauss, Cambridge’s senior director of DoDÂ services and solutions, said the effort will contribute to health IT modernization for the broader MEDCOI and DoD Military Health System.
