AT&T has launched a program that allows selected dealers of public safety systems to promote and sell the FirstNet communications platform to their fellow providers.
The Texas-based company said Wednesday it developed the FirstNet Dealer Program to reach agencies that prefer to purchase FirstNet services through a dealer, as well as filter providers that can access the network.
AT&T will work with the First Responder Network Authority to manage selected FirstNet distributors and assess potential dealers.
The telecommunications company has also launched a referral program for AT&T Alliance Channel system providers interested in selling FirstNet services but are not yet authorized to do so.
FirstNet wireless communication plans were recently made available for career and volunteer first responders who wish to leverage the network when conducting emergency response operations.
Interested individuals can visit any of AT&T’s retails stores across the U.S. or access a registration website to sign up for the communications platform.
