Atos and Merlin International have partnered to offer managed services intended to help government and healthcare organizations defend against sophisticated threats. The agreement covers artificial intelligence and digital transformation platforms and service offerings, the companies said Wednesday.
David Phelps, chairman and chief executive officer of Merlin, said both companies have strong experience helping businesses meet strict cybersecurity requirements.
Chad Harris, CEO of Atos’ North American arm, added that the collaboration will include conducting research and development and business activities to help organizations improve their security posture.
“Merlin has long been a trusted partner to the federal government, delivering a range of cybersecurity solutions and innovative technology products critical to its IT modernization initiatives,†Jones Tallent, Merlin’s chief financial officer, told GovConDaily Friday.
“This trust was most recently evidenced in May, following Merlin’s engagements totaling $200 million for enterprise-wide technology support within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Department of Veterans Affairs,†Tallent continued. “Amid this rapid rollout of new technologies, our partnership with Atos continues to demonstrate our focus on providing government agencies with the most innovative, agile, and effective cybersecurity tools and services to meet changing mission-critical system requirements and security challenges.â€
Under a contract awarded last month, Atos will provide cybersecurity services to the Virginia Information Technology Agency.
