Air Force Deploys Contracting IT Platform on Appian - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Air Force has fielded its Contracting-Information Technology system on Appian’s cloud platform that has impact level 4 certification to host controlled unclassified data.

The CON-IT system on Appian Cloud is designed to replace the service branch’s seven legacy contract writing tools in order to facilitate the acquisition process, reduce costs and speed up statutory and functionality changes, the company said Thursday.

The cloud platform is hosted in the Agriculture Department’s IL4 data center and complies with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

Appian also provided low-code development and business process management support to help the Air Force develop the Integrated Defense Enterprise Acquisition System in the CON-IT system.

IDEAS is a government-off-the-shelf contract writing platform developed by the Defense Information Systems Agency and works to automate contract issuance and management processes.
