Accenture’s federal arm has received the 2018 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award in recognition of its efforts to establish and maintain security best practices at its corporate headquarters in Virginia and branch office in San Diego.
Accenture Federal Services is one of the 39 award recipients selected by the Defense Security Service to acknowledge their work in managing classified data through their facilities’ security programs, the company said Wednesday.
John Goodman, CEO of Accenture Federal Services, said the recognition seeks to reflect the commitment and hard work of the company’s security team.
“As the security landscape constantly shifts, we are proud to collaborate with DSS to protect the national security interests of the country and help our clients strengthen their security posture,†added Goodman, a 2018 Wash100 recipient.
DSS selects facilities for the award that have attained two consecutive “superior†ratings in industry security assessments and have been screened by a national review team.
