Raytheon and the Australian defense department’s science and technology group have agreed to jointly build electronic warfare systems under an interactive project agreement.
The company said Monday it will collaborate with DST and local industry partners to establish a laboratory in Adelaide as part of efforts to create an integrated EW platform for the Australian defense force.
As part of the agreement, the lab will have access to Raytheon’s Multi-Function Receiver Exciter System that features an electronic attack capacity and a radar warning receiver.
Raytheon will also provide its MFIRES test bench, a modeling and simulation environment and a control system to the project.
DST partners with Australian academic and scientific communities and industry to provide advice and systems that can support the country’s defense and national security programs.
