LMI has been named to Military Times’ Best for Vets Employers list for nine years in a row in recognition of the company’s efforts to provide employment opportunities to retired service personnel.
The 2018 Best for Vets list of 100 companies is based on an annual survey that evaluates the firms’ corporate culture, policies and recruitment initiatives for military staff, reservists and their families, LMI said Tuesday.
“LMI takes extraordinary pride in attracting and retaining the best employees, and we highly value giving back to those who have served our country,†said Angie Casper, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at LMI.
LMI, which landed the 27th spot in the list, has several programs that aim to employ and retain military retirees including the veterans affinity group LVETS and the Training with Industry program.
Military veterans account for 34 percent of the Tysons, Va.-based consulting firm’s total workforce, according to the list.
