George Tagg Jr., former adviser at departments of State and Defense, has joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies as global head of its newly established government and public sector practice.
H+K said Thursday Tagg will work with the communications consulting firm’s executives and client leads to support customers across the globe.
Tagg has provided counsel to multiple government organizations and political campaigns over the past 15 years.
He previously served as a NATO policy adviser at the State Department, senior adviser for Russia in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy, political-economic officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, as well as foreign policy and national security adviser to Congressman John Tanner.
