Serco Inc., the British contractor’s North American arm, will continue to help the U.S. Navy sustain naval electronic surveillance systems for anti-terrorism and force protection efforts under a potential five-year, $232 million contract awarded in April.
The company said Tuesday it has performed similar work since 2001 through prior contract vehicles and helped integrate communications for U.S. government agencies to collectively address terrorism threats.
“We have a team in place focused on delivering operational excellence in support of helping our nation secure our bases, and detect and respond to terrorist threats,” said Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO of Serco Inc.
Dacquino added the company has supported the Navy’s base modernization services under the ATFP program over the past 17 years.
