CIA plans to team up with companies to perform open-source intelligence and big data experiments using an Amazon Web Services-built cloud platform, Bloomberg Government reported Thursday.
An updated acquisition schedule posted May 7 says the agency will use the C2SÂ unclassified cloud platform for the five-year Mesa Verde project that will analyze large data workloads and apply data visualization, sentiment analysis and natural language processing methods to generate insights.
The Mesa Verde project will have a one-year base term and four option years and aims to establish and maintain a DevOps environment in the cloud platform.
The agency intends to release a draft solicitation in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2018 and the final request for proposals in the first quarter of fiscal 2019 with plans to award the contract by the third quarter of the next fiscal year, according to the report.
