Army Taps Stevens Institute of Technology for R&D, Engineering Support - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Army has awarded the Stevens Institute of Technology a contract worth up to $49 million for research, development, engineering and scientific support for defense-related efforts of a university-affiliated research center.

The Defense Department said Thursday the contract covers expertise and services for the Systems Engineering Research Center in areas of interest to the DoD. Work will run through May 17, 2023 and work locations and funds will be identified for each task order issued.

The Army Contracting Command received one bid through the solicitation process.

The SERC is headed by the Stevens Institute of Technology and collaborates with over 20 universities across the country on sectors that include computing, defense, finance, telecommunications and transportation.
