William Fraser III, a retired U.S. Air Force general, has joined the advisory board of Sarcos Robotics.
“General Fraser’s vast experience will provide us with key insights into how we can best serve the needs of the U.S. Air Force, as well as the needs of our international allies,” Ben Wolff, Sarcos chairman and CEO, stated in a company release issued Wednesday.
The board includes members from the public safety community and the Army, Navy and Special Operations Command, Wolff added.
Fraser currently supports the Pinnacle, Capstone and Keystone programs as a senior fellow of the National Defense University. He retired from the military as the commander of the U.S. Transportation Command who managed the Defense Department‘s air, land and marine carriage systems.
His 40-year service includes roles as head of the Air Combat Command, as the Air Force’s 34th vice chief of staff and as assistant to the Joint Chiefs’ chairman. He received both the Defense Distinguished Service Medal and the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal.
Fraser holds a master’s degree in information systems management from the University of Northern Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from the Texas A&M University.
