Air Force Issues A-10 Thunderbolt Wing Assembly Procurement RFP - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Air Force has released a request for proposals for a program to procure wing assemblies for the A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Friday says the service intends to award a potential seven-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract under the A-10 Thunderbolt Advanced-Wing Continuation Kit program.

The IDIQ contract has a base ordering period of five years and two option years with a delivery term of four years.

The service has set four wing assemblies per month as the maximum production rate required under the contract.

A statement of work document details the military branch’s requirements for the ATTACK wing assemblies procurement effort such as data, 2D drawing and 3D computer aided drafting modeling delivery; program management support; engineering and quality requirements; and general production tasks including manufacturing process development and special tooling.

Interested vendors have until Aug. 23 to submit proposals for the solicitation, according to the notice.
