SOS International and the U.S. Army are scheduled April 10 to sign a partnership agreement to offer job opportunities for soldiers through the Army Partnership for Youth Success Program.
The PaYS program aims to help service members land job interviews with potential employers after they retire from military, SOSi said Monday.
Frank Helmick, a SOSi senior vice president, said the company actively recruits military veterans.
Helmick added the leadership experience and technical skills that soldiers gain during their active service can bring “immediate value” to the private sector.
The Army established PaYS in 2000 and has since established partnerships with more than 600 employers across industry, academia and state and local governments.
PaYS is part of a long-term effort to address the gap between job-seeking soldiers and organizations looking to hire skilled personnel.
