Charles Jacoby, a retired U.S. Army general, has been named a member of Cornerstone Defense‘s board of directors.
Jacoby’s background is aligned with the company’s goal to deliver technologies and services for the space and intelligence communities and the Defense Department, said Cornerstone Defense CEO Chris Goodrich in the company’s press release published Tuesday.
Patrick Palmer, chief growth officer at Cornerstone, said Jacoby will help enhance the management team and support the company’s government mission with his 37-year military background.
Before his retirement from the military, Jacoby was the head of the U.S. Northern Command and was the first Army officer to serve as the commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command.
His Army career includes service as the strategic plans and policy director for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and participation in the basic and advanced courses for infantry officers.
Jacoby holds a master’s degree in history from the University of Michigan and has graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1978.
He also attended the Army Command and General Staff College and the National War College’s School of Advanced Military Studies.
