Poland Signs LOA to Procure Northrop-Made Battle Command System - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe Polish government has signed a letter of offer and acceptance agreement to procure an Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System developed by Northrop Grumman.

Northrop said Wednesday the U.S. government can now start the contracting process with the company to produce and deliver IBCS to Poland’s military.

IBCS is designed to integrate sensors and interceptors that offer wide area surveillance and protection coverage areas.

The system employs an open architecture intended to accommodate current and future sensors and weapon systems, as well as support interoperability with joint command, control and ballistic missile defense systems.

Poland will adopt IBCS to augment its air defense capacities and will be first international partner country to buy the platform, Northrop noted.
