Nutanix has announced that 74 percent of federal agencies that procured the company’s Enterprise Cloud OS software stack adopted the AHV hypervisor platform in calendar year 2017.
The company said Thursday its AHV hypervisor works to help organizations build up the functionality and visibility of their information technology infrastructure by eliminating the need to buy a separate virtualization platform.
Nutanix noted that its federal business added to its portfolio nearly 100 government clients in 2017 and recorded an 82 percent rise in the number of federal customers with at least $1 million each in total investments compared with the previous fiscal year.
Federal IT clients “are facing increasing pressure to modernize systems and implement heightened security, all while reducing costs,â€Â said Dheeraj Pandey, Nutanix co-founder and CEO.
Pandey added that Nutanix’s performance in the federal vertical seeks to show that federal customers are “pulling back from ‘one-size-fits-all’ public cloud strategies and placing a greater emphasis on hybrid ecosystems to modernize their legacy systems.â€
