NTT Data‘s services division and the Georgia Technology Authority have extended a partnership agreement to help the state’s government entities manage information technology assets.
The company said Monday it has supported more than 41,000 computers and operating systems built for public sector employees throughout Georgia over the past nine years.
“We’re extremely proud of our work with GTA and the results we’ve delivered for the state’s employees and the people they serve,†said Chris Merdon, senior vice president of the public sector at NTT DATA Services.
Under the contract extension, the company will help GTA implement self-healing tools to avoid a service disruption, an innovation fund, walk-in service centers and a virtual desktop infrastructure.
Both parties also intend to deploy customized tools designed to simplify billing, hardware ownership transfer and customer service processes.
GTA oversees the delivery of IT infrastructure services to executive branch agencies as well as managed network services to agencies across the state.
Infrastructure support covers mainframes, service desk, servers, end user computing, security, email and disaster recovery.
