Northrop Grumman has received a $51.9 million delivery order from the U.S. Navy to provide supplies and services needed to deliver, install and test an interrogator and transponder unit compatible with Japan’s E-2C aircraft.
The order includes non-recurring engineering support for AN/APX-122A Mode 5/SÂ developmental laboratory work, integration tests, technical data and software modifications, the Defense Department said Thursday.
DoD added the company will support post-installation ground and flight tests, as well as provide kits and hardware for aircraft integration efforts.
Foreign military sales funds will be used on the delivery order.
Work will take place at Naval Air Station Misawa in Japan and various facilities in Florida, New York and California through December 2020.
