L3 Technologies has unveiled an autonomous undersea vehicle at the Navy League’s three-day Sea-Air-Space Exposition that commenced Monday at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
Iver Precision Workhorse is an undersea drone developed by L3’s OceanServer business in Fall River, Massachusetts, and works to support clients’ anti-submarine warfare, multidomain intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, mine and seabed warfare missions, the company said Monday
Christopher Kubasik, L3 CEO and president, said the Iver PW AUV features novel technologies designed to help the U.S. Navy and international clients carry out their missions.
“L3 is making strategic investments in advanced [command, control, communications, computers, cyber-defense and combat systems and ISR] capabilities that position us as a prime integrator in the emerging undersea market,â€Â Kubasik added.
L3 will also demonstrate its ASW simulator platform and aluminium-water AUV power module at the event.
