A Kratos Defense & Security Solutions subsidiary will support Dynetics in efforts to further develop a system to facilitate the aerial launch and recovery of multiple unmanned air vehicles under the third phase of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Gremlins program.
Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems will fabricate, assemble and integrate aerial drones as part of the Phase III contract awarded to Dynetics, Kratos said Wednesday.
Kratos will also perform system demonstration, air vehicle flight tests and subsystem testing work through the contract.
Eric DeMarco, Kratos president and CEO, said the company will apply its experience in developing jet-powered aerial drones as a partner of Dynetics in the Gremlins program.
