IXI Technology has agreed to integrate its counter-unmanned aerial system device with T-Worx Holdings‘ weapon management platform under a product development and licensing agreement between the two companies.
The partnership will combine the IXI DRONEKILLER with the Intelligent Rail system that T-Worx has developed through the U.S. Army‘s Small Business Innovative Research program, IXI said Friday.
DRONEKILLERÂ employs a software-based radio built to detect and affect certain drones via low-power signal transmissions.
I-Rail is designed to help operators manage weapon-mounted devices when attached to a firearm rail interface system.
Both companies aim to help customers detect class 1 and class 2 drones and transmit data with the integrated technology offering.
California-based IXI is a service-disabled, veteran-owned company that offers embedded electronic systems and software products to the government sector.
T-Worx is headquartered in Virginia and specializes on tactical weapon development efforts.
