The Marine Corps Air Facility in Quantico, Virginia, has worked with Concurrent Technologies Corp. as the airfield prepared for an onsite safety management evaluation from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
MCAF received OSHA’s Voluntary Protections Program Star designation in July last year with the support of professionals working at the CTC-managed Department of Defense Safety Management Center of Excellence, the company said Monday.
SMCX personnel conducted a series of assessments at the airfield and evaluated the site’s VPP implementation efforts.
The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association referenced contributions of the CTC-managed center in MCAF’s pursuit of OSHA recognition in the Winter 2018 edition of VPPPA’s “The Leader” magazine.
The Pennsylvania-based company also supports DoD’s Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness in efforts to help department facilities obtain the VPP Star status.
