Commvault has expanded its cloud-based data protection technology offerings to the government sector via an Amazon Web Services online store.
The AWS Marketplace now offers the Commvault Data Platform designed to help U.S. federal agencies, system integrators and contractors protect sensitive data in the cloud, Commvault said Thursday.
Craig McCullough, area vice president of U.S. federal sales at Commvault, said the company’s platform is designed to integrate with the AWS cloud technology that works to help government users manage and process workload.
Data Platform also works to secure files, databases, hypervisors and applications built to support data backup, recovery, disaster recovery and e-discovery functions.
Commvault obtained Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 certification for the company’s technology.
