BAE Systems and Dell EMC have teamed up to provide a hybrid cloud platform for U.S. government agencies.
The Federated Secure Cloud platform works to provide users access to mission-critical tools and help them collaborate through common applications, BAE said Monday.
The industry team’s cloud offering complies with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement requirements and has zero-anonymity functionality designed to help administrators track and regulate user, hardware and software access to their specific cloud platforms in real time.
Al Whitmore, president of intelligence and security sector at BAE, said the Federated Secure Cloud is a pre-engineered, mission-ready platform that comes with “security credentials required to operate in a secure government environment.â€
“Our Federated Secure Cloud arrives embedded with customizable Dell EMC and VMware technologies to meet an a gency’sunique mission needs,†said Steve Harris, senior vice president and general manager of Dell EMC’s federal business.
Harris and Whitmore are 2018 Wash100 recipients.
The scalable cloud offering complies with at least 900 security controls and helps administrators automate updates and patches.
