An AECOM subsidiary has won a potential $18.9 million task order from the U.S. Navy to design and build structures at the Expeditionary Legal Complex located in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The Defense Department said Friday URS Group will construct general purpose administration and legal buildings, such as sensitive compartmented information facilities, as well as implement security measures in accordance with DoD’s minimum anti-terrorism for buildings standards.
The task order contains a $14.6 million initial value over a base period that will run through June of next year.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command received two proposals for project and obligated $14.6 million at the time of award from the U.S. Army‘s fiscal 2018 emergency military construction contract funds.
DoD added the task order includes a planned modification award and eight options.
